I reminded my husband yesterday that “White Day” is only two days away. Last month, I bought him a chocolate, as is customary, for Valentine’s day. He looked at me and answered “Why should I buy you? You ate the chocolate that you bought for me!” Oh well, it was his fault since he forgot to eat it after I gave it to him. It was such a temptation!

March 11th, 2008 — About us
며느리 (myeo-neu-ri) is a Korean word which means “daughter-in-law”. I am a Filipina, married to a wonderful Korean husband. We have a two-year old son and we’re planning to have more in the not-so-near future. We live in the “soul of Asia” — Seoul!
I’d like to share my experiences with you and hopefully I’ll be able to show what it’s like to be a wife, mother and a daughter-in-law in this modern but still traditional (read: paternalistic) country.
